Cardsharp Ophelia Kendrake is mistaken for the Countess of
Bridgewater and plans to strip Dead End, Wyoming, of its fortunes
before escaping into the sunset. But the free-spirited beauty almost
swallows her script when she meets Tyler Matthews, the town's virile
young mayor. Tyler simply wants to settle down and enjoy the
simplicity of ranching. But his aunt and uncle are set on making a
silk purse out of Dead End, and Tyler is going to be the new mayor.
